“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” – Anne Lamott
l'm living in a world where social media takes up most of my chill/ me time.... If it's not my account it's work or businesses and during my lunch break i find myself RT Idris Elba, so he can see me in his feed or posting a picture of my lunch. This is the norm for me now. Working in a busy comms and marketing role takes it's toll sometimes and i wish i could switch off, breathe and relax.
Then before i knew it, Park Plaza had popped my dream in a DM and offered me a facial treatment with their new Espa skincare. I was super chuffed, this is exactly what i needed. So, i booked in for the following day ( keen)
There i was the following day indulging in some fabulous treatments by the friendly staff at Park Plaza. The treatment that i decided to go for was Optimal Skin Profacial this treatment is suppose to Rebalance, hydrate and revitalise using Tri-Phase cleansing technology which means that ultimately helps to protect against environmental damage and delay the early signs of skin ageing. DELAY EARLY SIGNS OF SKIN AGEING.... YES PLEASE!
The lighting was perfectly dim and the fresh spa smell made me feel very relaxed. In a soft voice, my therapist talked me through the facial process (cleanse, skin diagnosis, peel, facemask) so she won’t need to bother me with info when I’m in my calm, relaxed state. She went through the procedure with me asked me how i was feeling and what mood i was in. Can you be stressed and excited at the same time? i was.
She started by putting a neon blue light on my skin, she showed me which areas was dry and dehydrated, which gave her a good indication on which areas needed more work. ( clever and pretty cool)
The treatment included cleansing with a hot cloth a few good scrubs, serums, mask and a beautiful smelling moisturiser.
When the mask was on, the therapist massaged my shoulders / neck and scalp. I was totally relaxed. Didn't want to move.
The ESPA skincare, smells devine and my skin felt as soft as a babies bum.
After the treatment, i went to the relaxation room ( see below) where you can help yourself to water, juice and magazines. Prefect place before and after your treatment

With this treatment you can also enjoy the spa facilities. I have enjoyed many evenings swimming in this pool followed by the hot tub and steam room.
Why you should never visit Park Plaza for an Espa treatment?
Because now, all i want is to have a weekly ESPA treatment . My new love is ESPA skincare. ( on my christmas list)
I also realised that this saying below, couldn't be more true. We do need to take care of ourselves. We all work so hard and sometimes it's nice to breathe and book a spa treatment. So, we can switch off... just for 55 mins.... I was back in work the following day with a smile on my face and a spring in my step.

Since the treatment i have bought some ESPA skincare and booked to go back for this devine treatment.
You can also enjoy a beautiful meal at Park Plaza.
They have a great afternoon tea menu ( gentleman's afternoon tea is my fav)
You can eat in the restaurant, bar or my favourite place is by the fire in the lobby.
